Profile of Trustees and Officers of Arahura Trust

 Chris Bayliss, Treasurer

Chris Bayliss is a trained Mensline Counsellor and Lifeline Counsellor. He still volunteers at Mensline having previously volunteered for three years at Lifeline. Professionally Chris is a Prosecution Officer for the NZ Customs Office. He has 25 years experience as a Barrister and Solicitor, 12 years of which he was Principal of his own law firm. He has a strong Interest in Mental Health and those who are vulnerable in society. This is balanced with an understanding of the broader political and contextual issues which can affect the choices of how services can be delivered to those groups. With the establishment of the Charitable Trust Chris became a Trustee and then the Treasurer. Chris brings with him the knowledge of legal matters affecting the Trust and a wealth of information and experience.

Mohi Barrett, Trustee

Mohi has been a major part of the service development for more than 10 years. With his knowledge of mental health issues from a consumer perspective Mohi has been able to guide the service development in an equitable and fair way. Mohi became a Trustee when the structure was first changed. Mohi has a Diploma in Teaching People with Disabilities.

  

 Paul Siulepa,Trustee

Paul brings a number of skills to the Trust.He has held a number of managerial positions including the Immigration Service as a Project Director of Pacific Strategy and a Call Center manager.Paul has also been a leader in Youth mentoring with the Wayfinder programme.

 

David Breen, General Manager

David has been in mental health services for over ten years.Trained in psychotherapy and has had training in researched models of recovery in mental health. He has worked as a volunteer counsellor for Lifeline and Mensline.David has had a previous career in civil engineering (13yrs)(NZCE ,REA )David was also a small business owner for a number of years.
